Alexander and Kibum withdraw from U-Kiss :(

Star News has reported the withdrawal of Alexander and Kim Kibum from the seven-member group U-Kiss. According to officials on February 23rd, the two members recently decided to withdraw from the group. Due to this, the duo will not be participating in U-Kiss’s comeback album.
According to the agency, Alexander has left the group due to personal reasons after talks with them, as well as to focus on his studies. Kibum left the group because of the doll character business with his older brother, as well as due to conflicts in his personal life. He made the choice because he could not handle both his personal life and his group promotions.
One of Kibum’s latest tweets had been, “In March, there will be bad news. When the time comes, I will tell you.” Because of their withdrawal, many have suspects that there will be changes in U-Kiss’s comeback. However, their agency, NH Media, has not said anything regarding the matter.
Currently, Dongho has been casted in both a drama and two movies, and the amount of contribution he will put forth in the group’s activities has created a lot of interest. Dongho has taken part of the MBC drama “Royal Family”, which will start broadcasting on March 2nd. He also took part in two movies, “Happy Together” and “Don’t Cry Mommy”, and will also be in a new cable show entitled “Real School” on MBC Everyone.
There is also interest in how the group will be like after Alexander and Kibum’s withdrawal, and whether new members will be introduced to the team. In addition, there are many wondering how U-Kiss’s activities will stand without Alexander and Kibum.

Well this is a situation that Abby didn’t want to have to come to, but it looks like were gonna need HELP! Our family is Korean American(more Korean than American in some ways). Unfortunately Abby and Myself have lived in Washington State and New York and Korea, but we don’t really know the language as well. Fortunately for us our older brother, Cable, has lived there the longest and knows the language and has agreed to help us with the translations… BUT At the moment he is in China on buisness and school so we can’t really contact him to get translations…

Yunho shares his relationship with Big Bang Seungri

On March 2nd, TVXQ appeared on MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and revealed the story behind their 8-year group promotion, global debut, and their break with JYJ.
Yunho also revealed his relationship with Seungri, saying, “When I was attending middle school in Kwang-Ju, we made a dance team which got really popular when we won a YMCA dance competition. Everyone knew who I was. I already had a fan club before I even debuted“.
He added, “Big Bang’s Seungri went to my elementary school. He, too, was famous, but his group was really famous. He was talented even when he was young. However, frankly, I didn’t know that Seungri would do this well“.
The idol apologized to Seungri and laughed shyly after revealing his true feelings about him. He also revealed an incident when he comforted Seungri by buying him banana milk at a cafe, and when he met Seungri in Kwang-Ju after they both debuted as singers.

New Groups to Lead in Hip-Hop Boom

While the ballad singers that took over the charts with their emotional vocals fit for the winter season prepare for their leave, a new hip hop boom is expected to lead a new trend in the industry this year right alongside the girl groups.
Gone are the sweet hook songs and auto-tune, as hip hop artists are gearing up for a comeback as we speak. The first two groups preparing for this hip hop renaissance are the brainchildren of hit composers Bang Shi Hyuk and Brave Brothers.
Bang Shi Hyuk is known for his ballad hits with artists such as 2AM and Lim Jung Hee, but will be taking an interesting twist by unveiling his own idol creation this year with a group named “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.“ The members are known for their exceptional talent in the underground hip hop scene and consists of high school rappers. The group went through a hip hop audition process called “Hit It” and are currently focusing on their debut preparations.
Hit making producer Brave Brothers is launching his own five member hip hop girl group named “Brave Girls.” The group is said to be specializing in a charismatic performance that will differentiate themselves from the other cutesy girl groups dominating the market. Their music will not be dance pop like usual, but true hip hop, as he claimed, “They’ll be a female hip hop team with something new to offer.”
The genre they’ll be specializing in is “blacktronica,” a fusion of “western hip hop and electronica, currently specialized by acts such as the Black Eyed Peas and Far East Movement.” For fans looking for an early glimpse of the genre, GD&TOP’s “High High” is categorized under the genre as well.

Big Bang Totals 7 Billion Won!!!

Ever since they dropped their comeback mini-album, Big Bang has been all-killing and dominating the top online charts, raking in TV ratings, and even selling out their ads!
It’s been seven days since their mini-album release, and the figures are showing 7 billion won in sales (approximately $6.2 million USD), a feat that is nothing short of remarkable in the Korean music market. It’s even more astounding because the group’s official promotions haven’t even kicked off yet.
An individual familiar with the music industry said, “Big Bang has seen about 8 billion won in online sales so far, from both online and mobile; if this trend continues, they could earn as much as 30 billion.”
Additionally, YG Entertainment estimates that the total revenue made from the “Big Show” concert is between 42 to 43 billion won (approx $37 million USD).

GoodWill & MGI , an American-Finnish production company that is working with famous artists such as Akon, Justin Bieber, 50 Cent and Pitbull, has made a deal with ELF’s on Twitter regarding the production of a track for Super Junior.
GoodWill & MGI first caught the attention of SuJu fans when it was discovered that the company had produced a new track for the group titled, “Gotcha Numba,” set to drop later this year.
The Twitter conversation started when various ELF’s tweeted GoodWill, urging him to write a song for Super Junior. After spending a good couple of hours teasing ELF’s and throwing the name Super Junior around in their tweets with hilarious responses such as, “Who is better — Super Junior or Justin Bieber? Tough question!!!” and “TOUGH QUESTION — What’s better: Super Junior or…pizza?!”, GoodWill and MGI have come up with a deal for all ELF’s.
In response to the flurry of ELF followers asking GoodWill to produce a song for Super Junior, he stated, “I wont forget our deal — if @goodwillbeats and @mgiproducer each get 1000 followers this wk, then we’ll make a song for SUJU fans in Feb!”, making ELF’s all around the world ecstatic.

Super Junior M Henry On Strong Heart!

In the episode featuring Henry, he tells about his first impressions that were left with him the first time he stayed with Super Junior in their dorms.
When asked by the MCs to describe the experience, Henry replied, “Korean men easily put their arms around each other’s shoulders, as well as give light touches, but to foreigners, actions like that can be mistaken as gay.”
Henry revealed that when he first met the members, they greeted him by lightly hitting his butt. “I honestly thought they were all gay. I misunderstood Leeteuk, since he was the one who slapped my butt the most.”
But what surprised Henry the most was his encounter with the “Space Big Star”, Kim Hee Chul “His hair was long, like a girl’s, and he was so pretty, so I thought he was a transgender at first.”
Hilariously, Henry wasn’t alone when it came down to culture shock; Eunhyuk revealed that he was equally shocked when Henry began calling SM Entertainment’s Lee Soo Man, ‘Mr. Lee’.
Henry clarified, “I didn’t know who he was at first, and someone told me that he was SM’s boss. I just greeted him by saying, ‘Hey, Mr. Lee.’ I told him that I’d contact him if he gave me his business card.”
Eunhyuk added, “Henry still calls him ‘Mr. Lee.’” When asked how Lee Soo Man responded, Eunhyuk replied, “He accepts it since we’re all friends.”
